The Free was AMAZING!!!! They were so awesome! I was so pleased with their performance at my wedding. First off they can sing... like really sing! I was so impressed. And everyone in the band played so well from the drummer to the guitarist etc. My now husband I are really picky about music and they were just fabulous! Secondly, they picked amazing songs as well as really got our guests dancing. Everyone was dancing all the way to the end of the night which is what we wanted to happen! Thirdly, I had asked that the sound not be too loud for the elder guests and the sound was perfect for young and old alike.

They were FANTASTIC! They nailed the songs I asked them to learn. The word on the street is that the Willcox hasn’t seen that much dancing in a century. They should include Hustle by P!No I’m their regular set. EVERYONE was on the dance floor! Their breaks were seamless. They were all really nice. They handled announcements perfectly. Everyone raved! We absolutely loved The Free! Michele did a lot of the coordinating on our behalf initially and then we were in contact more about a month ahead of the wedding. Completing the information on the portal was easy and helped smooth out the process of connecting with the band and coordinating songs.
During the actual reception, the band did an excellent job and really seemed to adjust to the interest and energy level of the crowd. So many people commented on how fun the dancing was it even felt like a concert at certain points! We loved that the lead singers got involved with the crowd and that the whole band was amenable to having us play a few songs off of our phone about halfway through the reception.
Overall, I have no complaints about The Free and would highly recommend them to others for their events.

As the Mother of the Bride, I can tell you that I don’t remember dancing so much! Every song selection was danceable. The floor was packed the entire night. They started with September, a fan favorite to get the dancing started and I don’t recall the final song, but they played an encore!!
The band came by our table to thank us before they left. I thought that was a very nice gesture.
The female vocalist was amazing. Her vocal range and enthusiasm were incredible.
We had many comments from guests praising the band and how good they were.

Not sure if Stacey emailed you yet or not but either way I also wanted to let you know The Free was unbelievable. They were super easy to work with, we didn't have to pick any playlist or genres or anything and they learned our first dance song for us since we asked them to play it live. They even agreed to play as a full band during our cocktail hour which wasn't part of our contract with them so they really went the extra mile to make sure we were happy.
We still have guests from our wedding texting us that they were the best band (wedding or elsewhere) that they've ever seen. We had high expectations as they weren't cheap but I can tell you they exceeded them and were worth every penny and then some. I play guitar and have been in a few bands myself and I was just super impressed with their versatility and stage presence and how they kept the crowd rocking the entire night. They can play anything from Fleetwood Mac and Johnny Cash to Britney Spears and Eminem and look and sound right at home with any style. Everyone also loved all the mashups they played, they really never stop playing and just transition from one song to the next nonstop the entire night. We loved that they played some older stuff to start the night and as the night went on and the dance floor became mostly late 20s, early 30s aged people they transitioned to 90s and early 2000s and even some more modern pop/rock/rap. They really know how to cater to the crowd, everyone loved it.
A lot of my friends told me they've never danced so much at a wedding and didn't even want to leave the dance floor to get a drink because they didn't want to miss the next song. I can attest to that myself as well. Hopefully you're able to pass this along to the band members. I didn't really get a chance to thank them or tell them how great they were when the wedding ended.
We'll be more than happy to write a review on The Knot for them. I haven't gotten to it yet but I'll try to get one done this weekend.

We worked with Sam Hill Entertainment for our wedding band. First, I have to say that Andrew Juge (our contact at Sam Hill) was hands down the most responsive, flexible and patient person we have ever worked with. He answers any calls or emails, even if he is out of the office, so quickly it blew our minds. He was also so incredibly patient with us while we debated what to do in light of COVID. He truly is an asset to Sam Hill and we very much enjoyed working with him.
Secondly, The Free!!! Wow! I literally don't even know what to say about them, other than you need to book them immediately. They absolutely blew our minds with their talent and had our wedding party dancing from start to finish. We had a smaller sized wedding and were nervous that people wouldn't be willing to dance but The Free played to our audience perfectly and everyone had an incredible time. Genevieve's vocals gave us chills and Garrison's ability to rap was really a hit with our guests. The Free performs at a higher caliber than any wedding band we have ever seen (trust, we have been to gorgeous weddings all over the country.) Book The Free and get ready to have the most incredible time!!

Thanks for reaching out! I'm so excited to report that Friday evening was beyond anything we could have ever hoped for!!! The Free was fantastic and left our guests blown away by their talent, energy and stage presence! It really felt like we were at a private concert and several times I had to do a double take at the stage to make sure that the song wasn't actually being performed by the original artist! Collectively, the group achieves such a full, vibrant sound you would think there were 10 musicians on that stage, not 6. The vocal combination of the lead singers is so powerful, it left me and my (now) husband with full body chills and in awe during our first dance!
All of our guests noticed how uniquely talented they are and we frequently found the room in full applause and cheering, especially when they would play one of their mashups tunes (which is what made us fall in love with them to begin with!). We're so grateful to this group for going the extra mile to learn our custom songs, and they NAILED a blended rendition of Bruce Springsteen's The River and John Mellencamp's Small Town a very special request that I made for the song my Dad and I danced to. I just can't say enough about how much we love this band and we SO appreciate that they were fully present and engaged with the audience from start to finish. You would never guess that our wedding was just one night in their schedule of backtoback nights of performances. They made our wedding celebration energetic and fun in a time when all of us desperately needed a night like that, and it made all the difference in the world! We will absolutely recommend them to friends and family and really hope we can find and opportunity to work with them again some time in the future.
I also heard from our planners and the venue coordinator that they were very nice to work with, even behind the scenes, which is always such a relief to hear!

Hey Andy Thanks for the follow up! The music was beyond perfect for the wedding! Pretty much everyone at the party told me how good The Free was at various points throughout the evening. I had heard people rave about The Free before the wedding, and they certainly did not disappoint. I could not have asked for a better group of people to make the wedding what it was. I keep saying I want to do it every weekend now to just get someone to pay for that!

I may be a little biased, but The Free is the best band ever!! We had multiple guests ask for their info. The vocalists were extremely talented, had a ton of energy and kept the guests dancing all night. Sam Hill Entertainment was very easy to work with and always prompt to respond. I highly recommend The Free! Our wedding would definitely had not been the same without them.

We had a great time with The Free at our wedding. All our guests are still talking about them, and our wedding was two months ago! We wanted a band that could play both country music and the Hora, and they nailed both. Also, our first dance and fatherdaughter dance wasn't on their official song list, but they were very accommodating, and the timing during their playing of our first dance coincidentally matched up perfectly with our dance routine!

I couldn't have been more pleased with the way the night went everyone was so friendly and you can tell their number one concern is making sure the guests have a blast. Genevieve was also great about checking into a song on the do not play list that was part of a medley, which I appreciated and of course told her to play! I know Eric said the groomsmen really enjoyed meeting the band before the wedding and had a good time with them. The songs chosen were great and diverse and got everyone dancing, and I thought the vocals were super a few people said they thought they were at a concert rather than a wedding. We'd happily refer anyone to use The Free for their event I'll keep you guys in mind for some charity events I work with, too! I loved that the dance floor was consistently packed, so that's a testament to the team :) And we'll definitely add reviews to The Knot too as things settle.

We worked with Andy from Sam Hill to find the perfect band for our wedding. Andy suggested many great options and was very easy to work with. After a lot of research, we selected THE FREE which was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! We were looking for a band that could play a good mix of songs, including acoustic music during cocktail hour and our first dance song by Zac Brown Band. They were incredible and kept everyone dancing all night long! Getting a good band like this costed a bit more than we wanted to pay, but in the end, we were so happy and had such a good time thanks to their great talent!

We hired The Free for our wedding and OMG we cannot say enough good things about them. This band is 1,000x better than their online promotion video and recordings show them to be! I had people coming up to me all night raving about the band, asking where did I find them? They really know how to create a fun atmosphere and they are insanely talented. SO MUCH BETTER than we ever expected, and so much better in person than online. If you are considering booking them, do not hesitate another minute.

Ashleigh and I can sum up our experience with The Free in one word: AMAZING! Honestly, we had so much fun and the band was incredible. First and foremost, they are extremely talented and their interaction with our guests was an added bonus. Some even said they would want to bring them up to Canada to perform at their weddings when it was their turn.

Wow where do I even begin? It was beyond incredible. The charisma and energy they exuded really set the tone. The singers had a great way about them and bc they were enjoying themselves it was like watching a killer concert.
I also loved that they read the crowd very well. I didn't really want slow songs and I love that I didn't have to say that they just knew the crowd wanted to dance.
Also their voices were absolutely beautiful. People are still talking about it and my wedding planner said you guys are now his new go to and a friend of mine will be calling you soon to play for her wedding.:)
The band was the first thing we booked and honestly the most important part to us and you guys nailed it.

Andrew, I do not know where to start. The Free were unbelievable. Worth every penny and a million more (I don’t have a million dollars, but if I did I’d have paid it in thanks and support of their incredible talent). And as you know, when it comes to music, I'm a tough critic. As a former musician, finding the right band to play at my wedding was not unlike finding the right man to marry. I trawled through just about every band in the northern hemisphere before I found 'the one' and when I did, suffice it to say it was love at first sound. THE FREE are incredible. They surpassed all expectations. So versatile; so energetic; so insanely talented! They got every one of our guests on their feet and the compliments have since been overwhelming. I think I speak for my whole family, The Free exceeded our expectations. They were constantly interacting with the audience and made Lee and I feel like we were celebrities. Their energy was felt by everyone and created exactly the fun atmosphere we were looking for. Hi Andy,

We wrote a review below that we are going to add to every site we can find. We had an amazing experience with The Free and could not have asked for a better band to play our wedding. They were incredibly friendly, talented and brought so much energy and enthusiasm. Definitely a 10 out of 10. I know Sally, Courtney and Kristina had a lot do to with this, but it was totally smooth getting on the Island or setting up and everything looked and sounded perfect. We would appreciate if you could send the contact info of the band as well as we would like to send them a thank you for really adding such much to our wedding
From the moment we met them, we knew The Free were going to be an amazing band. After the opening dances, I spoke with the lead singer and he seemed as happy to have made the venture to our wedding as we were to be there. The Free learned songs for our wedding without us even requesting them and those songs sounded amazing. Once dinner was complete and everyone hit the dance floor, no one left. The Free had a wide range of songs and kept the energy at a very high level for the entire set. They were incredibly creative with mashups of songs and got the audience involved with some fun dances. When two of our friends asked to sing a song, The Free were very accommodating and turned it into an incredibly memorable moment for everyone. In the weeks after the wedding, it seemed like every guest we talked to told us that it was the best wedding band they have seen and how amazingly well the band had played. There were also more than a few #bestweddingbandever hashtags on facebook.

From the day we started looking for a band, the folks at Sam Hill were very helpful and the entire process of having the band travel from Atlanta to Bald Head Island was seamless and easy. There was great communication and organization amongst everyone and not a single problem despite the fact that the band had to do all that travel and take a ferry over to the venue.

Overall we couldn’t have been more pleased with The Free and Sam Hill Entertainment. The Free brought an already amazing wedding to another level and we were so happy that they were able to play such a great part in our fantastic day.

Since you both emailed I thought it might be easiest to just send this to both of you.
My apologies for the delay in response, we were out of the country for two wonderful weeks and are now settling back in at home. I cannot say enough good things about the Free, in fact most of what I've heard since the wedding from anyone who was there sounds something like Everything about the day was perfect and beautiful and we had the best time, and YOUR BAND!!! They were amazing! Where did you find them?! I even received a few texts the day after the wedding asking for contact information, so I think it's safe to say The Free was definitely a hit.
Everyone danced the whole night and loved all of the music, the band absolutely has a knack for gauging the atmosphere and playing the appropriate songs. Both the playlist and their amount of crowd interaction were dead on. People kept saying they were so perfect for us and it was true, I felt like they suited Ryan's and my taste and the overall vibe of the wedding and venue so perfectly!

Happy New Year! We just got back from our honeymoon sorry for the delayed response!
We LOVED The Free! Seriously, they were AMAZING. And everyone we talked to mentioned how much they loved the band too. (Josh's dad hosts a corporate event every year and wants to see if he can get them to play at it now!)
The band did an encore for us in which Josh ended up on stage singing... Pure magic. Can't say enough good things loved all the songs, they sounded awesome, and our dance floor was absolutely packed all night. Everyone has said best wedding reception ever and the band was a huge part of making it so much fun.

The band was wonderful! They kept everyone pumped throughout the night and the dance floor was always crowded. They are a big reason our wedding was so fun!
A family friend of ours recommended another band of yours, but when they weren't available we went with The Free. It sounds like Sam Hill has a lot of great artists. We will keep y'all in mind for future events. And we're so glad you were recommended to us!

Thanks so much for reaching out! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving! I'm finally settled back in so wanted to get you feedback. The Free was FANTASTIC. I have never heard a better wedding band before. All of our friends (whether local to Atlanta or in from New York/Boston) raved about how they were the best they've ever heard. I didn't want the night to end!! I will of course recommend them anytime I can.

The Free was absolutely fantastic!! We loved them, all our wedding guests loved them, and most importantly Kristen and Taylor said they made the reception! No one wanted the night to end. My sister said she wants to have a party just so she could have the band come play. I couldn’t tell you one thing to change about the night. We are so thankful they were willing to to come to Palm Beach to play.

They were friggin' amazing! Our guests wouldn't shut up about how much they loved them, their music, and the interactive show they put on during the reception. Besides throwing a damn good party, they did a killer job on all of our special dance songs and we so appreciate them learning them for us. I cried like a baby during each one.
We'll just need to know if they're coming to Charlottesville soon so that we can go make friends with that lucky couple and hopefully be invited to their wedding!

They were so fun, high energy and our guests are still all talking about the band at our wedding. My experience with the band was fabulous and we are so thankful that we chose The Free to perform at the wedding. They exceeded our expectations. Their sound musically and vocally was terrific and their stage presence was engaging. All the guests were raving about them. Fabulous energy.
The music that they performed and the sound level during the meal time was
perfect for listening but also for hearing conversations. Spot on!
Then the songs they played during the rest of the time were great and kept the
guests dancing, laughing and having fun.
My only complaint is that they were so good that I stayed on the dance floor so much
and did not chat with guests as much as maybe I should have. :)
And that is a really a testament to how much fun we all had.

We could not have been happier with our experience with you and The Free. Every single song the band played was top notch and they had incredible energy & professionalism throughout the evening. That night & the following day we had so many guests tell us how great the band was and how much they enjoyed them.
Since The Free was a newer band when we booked them, we had a small bit of concern that they might not sound as good as the demo music. I couldn't believe how they surpassed the demo with their live performanceand I can be a tough critic since I have a music background.
Thank you, thank you, thank you to The Free for being such a special part of our wedding reception. Our only regret of the night was that the venue had a curfew preventing us from having them play longer!

We lost power at our reception for basically the entire time except for the last 15 minutes. The Free kept things going though! Surrounded by iPhone lights and candlelight, the band unplugged and played acoustic style. They had our guests singing and dancing. It would not have been a success without the band. I am so grateful that they were accommodating and flexible!!! I will definitely recommend them! My sister already wants them for her future wedding!

Sorry it has taken me so long to get this to you.
In short we WOULDN'T CHANGE A THING!
We started out knowing we wanted a live band as one of the most important elements of our wedding from the beginning. You guys and your team didn't disappoint. While I must say I was a bit apprehensive to spend such a large portion of our budget on a band unseen or having known anyone personally who had experience their talents I am SO SO glad we trusted in our gut and your professionalism.
Also, have to share a quick story while my husband and I knew we wanted live music at the reception neither of us are big dancers. It was really more for setting the mood of our reception that we wanted this aspect verse a D.J. With that said we didn't sit down the entire night and danced with all our guest all night long. So fun, so sweet, such good memories, and every guest since the wedding has commented on how fun The Free was. My husband and I have been out dancing twice since our wedding and I think its our new fun connection as a married couple :) thank you for that!
Lastly, by way of scheduling slow down before the wedding my husband and the band ended up interacting with each other in the location we had set up for the grooms suite/break room and he had nothing but wonderful things to say about their personal interaction as well. Stand up group of entertainers. Now, all I need is another event to book them for!! Until then they will be highly recommended by us. Best luck with all of your individual and personal endeavors in the future!

Kelley and Michael are on their honeymoon but I wanted to let you know that we could not have been happier with the band. They were absolutely fantastic. The band and Annie were great to work with. The band was great in getting the guests involved and into the party. So many guest commented during the wedding as well as post party how great the band was. They made our party and Kelley and Michael sent me text telling me their wedding was everything they could have hoped for or dreamed of and the band was a big part of that. The Free is the second band that I have booked through you and I couldn't be more pleased with every experience I have had with Sam Hill.

Everyone loved the band and the music. They made the wedding fun and exciting! They were professional, had such a cool look and vibe to them. Voices were clear and the sound was amazing. Lead singers had great voices. Sometimes when you hear bands they make you twinge with their rendition of a classic song, but not the Free, as they made you want to hear them sing each one.They worked well with the wedding planner as she gave instructions, they set up with no fuss, broke down quickly and quietly. My ipad was returned promptly without having to be asked.
The morning after the wedding I went to the same clubhouse to eat dinner, as I stayed an extra night at Big Canoe. The head of the kitchen/waitress staff came up to us all excited. Said to me that usually at weddings they see people maybe dance for a half hour then it is done, but at ours people danced to the very end. They said it was the most exciting they had seen, the most diverse group of people, and the most fun they had experienced. When I thought back to the prior evening ,I could see them in the alcoves with smiles on their faces and moving to the beat in place.
The Free was great. I would not have changed a thing. I gave them a tip I liked them so much. I took some of their cards and will recommend them to others. It was a great choice. The bride and groom also had a blast!

The Free were absolutely, positively fantastic!!! We literally searched high and low and for months for a wedding band that felt right. We spent hours upon hours!!!! When we heard The Free we knew we had found the perfect band we loved their sound! Although I was a little skeptical that they were a new band Andrew assured me that they had great roots! I am so glad we trusted our guts because they were absolute Rock Stars!!!
They had everyone on the dance floor ALL NIGHT LONG! They played the perfect mix of oldies, country, modern, etc.The two lead singers were so fun and engaging and outgoing!!! All of our guests raved all night long about the band (and still are)! We had an outdoor mountain wedding and The Free was the perfect fit for our feel and vibe.
Everyone associated with the band was incredibly professional. Annie was so awesome to work with. My wedding planner was so impressed that the lead guys approached her on the day of to review the timeline in entirety one last time. There set up and sound check was seamless and they had someone adjusting the sounds via the ipad all night long! They did an awesome job of introductions despite the fact there were several long Italian names. Per our request they seamless downloaded and played our First Dance song and Father Daughter dance from a device (our preference).
Even more impressive every band member was so genuinely nice and friendly. After dinner the band spaced their breaks and literally played nonstop, staggering their breaks so the party never stopped. They were genuinely great people.
I totally recommend The Free and they were one of the best decisions we made! Please share my contact info with other brides looking for a reference.

The Free was absolutely wonderful!!! I cannot say enough nice things about them. We loved them! The music was great, and everyone there had a great time. No one wanted the band to stop playing they were so much fun! Kaitlyn knew exactly what kind of music she liked and wanted to have played at the reception, and no other band could have come close to doing the job they did. She and her new husband Jacob stayed the whole night to enjoy them! I have had so many people compliment us on the band and ask who they are and how we found them, and I am passing their name along to all who ask. The band members were very sweet and friendly they were so nice to deal with. They were fabulous, and we would use them a milllion times over. We are so thankful we found them, and our entire experience with them and the booking experience has been impeccable. Thank you for such a fun and flawless experience!
