Our Story

Sam Hill Entertainment was born out of Charlottesville’s vibrant music scene in 1995. As a UVA student, I played in bands, booked local events, and was captivated by live music’s ability to connect people and transform a room.

While my classmates pursued “real” jobs, I began booking bands for fraternities, sororities, and concerts. Over the next decade, Sam Hill grew to meet the rising demand for live music at weddings, corporate functions, and private events across the Southeast, shifting our focus to the special event industry.

Providing top-notch musicians was only part of our mission. The best bands not only deliver great performances but also help events run seamlessly. We represent bands committed to both, ensuring every client knows what to expect from start to finish.

Today, we book thousands of events annually, inspired by live music’s power to turn any gathering into something unforgettable.
