The band was absolutely wonderful. Many of our guests let us know that it was their favorite part of the evening. Personally, we were wonderfully surprised when the band sang the song for our first dance rather than playing a recording. I am not the type to write reviews but I need every one to know how amazing DC Synergy is! Not only are they extremely talented but they know how to read a room to keep your dance floor packed all night! We had a very specific, somewhat complicated first dance request involving a mash up of two songs and they killed it! They engaged the crowd and were down singing on the dance floor with our guests. We have received so many compliments about how fun the band at our wedding was. They even shared the stage with us and let us have the mic for multiple songs (unplanned, but again they can read a room!). Hire them for your wedding you won't regret it!

I legitimately do not know where to start. Jarreau and his crew far exceeded our expectations. We hired DC Synergy for our wedding and it was the best decision we have ever made! From the minute they started playing not one of our guests ever sat back down! They truly had the place rockin' all night long. From song selection and music taste, Jarreau made the whole process seamless and easy. The band played a little something for everyone which made it even that much better. DC Synergy is THE BEST!!! One of our biggest decisions was choosing an excellent band to celebrate. My husband and I are big dancers and this was truly one of our biggest decisions. We hired the entire 10piece band and they were INCREDIBLE! Jarreau is SO talented and such a natural on stage. He handled all of the wedding details and flow of the day with ease, and don't even get me started on his voice! What. A. Talent. Everyone was on the dance floor the entire night which was exactly how we dreamed the day to be! We received rave reviews from countelss guests about the band and it truly shows up when you see the joy on our faces in our wedding pictures. Jarreau and DC Synergy absolutely brought it at our wedding. Jarreau was on it every step of the way, calling and emailing to get the setlists right, working with us on how the processional would flow, and even learned a song for our first dance. We had seen them at another wedding last year and we're so amazed that we lined them up as soon as we have a venue locked in. Everyone commented on how energetic and fun they were. We added the horns and they were worth every penny.

The best decision we made at our wedding was hiring DC Synergy. We had a number of professional musicians/music connoisseurs among our guest list and all were extremely impressed with the band. (And those of us who are not either of those loved them too!!) Jarreau was very professional and unbelievably talented truly an exceptional vocalist! Jarreau was a pleasure to work with, took custom requests, learned a very vocally challenging song for our first dance and did a fantastic job MCing the reception. He kept all of the speeches on track and did a great job keeping the party going and getting everyone on the dance floor. The other vocalists and instrumentalists were also extremely talented. Erik the guitarist is classically trained and played acoustic guitar beautifully during our cocktail hour. The band was also happy to accompany an outside performer who was a guest at the wedding. DC Synergy made my wedding reception so much fun.
We listened to a number of other bands in the area that were great but DC Synergy was by far the most talented and yet amazingly was still within our budget! 100% recommend!!!

We hired DC Synergy to perform at our wedding reception on 10/13/2019. Now, I could swoon on and on about Jarreau and DC Synergy, but let me try to summarize why you should pick them for your wedding. Jarreau. That is seriously all you need to know to make a good, informed decision about choosing DC Synergy. Jarreau is the band leader, lead singer, and functions as the emcee of your wedding reception. For our wedding, he was super responsive and expressed interest and attention to detail in all of our meetings, phone calls, and emails. He was an invaluable resource in helping us plan the timeline of our reception and making sure that it was followed through! A LOT more goes into having a live band at your wedding than you might expect, but Jarreau handles it all behind the scenes and coordinates with any
other vendors he needs to. Now for the music. Jarreau has an incredible talent for singing, entertaining, and just being an overall positive presence up on the stage. He adds his own unique flair to classics to keep everyone on their toes and dancing. He is backed up by 2 very talented vocalists who, when the song demands it, become the lead singers. The rest of the band also deserves their own reviews, but I know people will stop reading this love letter at some point. The drummer had some incredible solos, Eric (the lead guitarist) could fill in for any rockband in the country. He even performed as a solo acoustic guitarist at our wedding ceremony and did a fantastic job providing our ceremony music. And man, the horns section! Go with the horns! The horns really give this live band an enormous range and UMPH than any other instrument group can. Ourselves and our guests are still swooning over how fantastic DC Synergy was. Do yourselves a favor and hire DC Synergy for your event, you won't regret it!
