The Jangling Reinharts were phenomenal ! Everyone raved about their performance, their music, and their interaction with the guests. Absolutely fantastic! The band was SO GOOD ! Everything went smoothly, and the dance floor was still full at 11 pm, with guests asking for more of their wonderful music ! They ended the evening with a request of All Night Long, which thrilled the guests it was a perfect final song.
I will most definitely give them a top rating 10 stars, if allowed ! And we will certainly spread the word about this great band to our family and friends. Coincidentally, they also played at my other daughter's wedding (Allison Ramsey) at Hermitage Country Club on June 16, 2012. They were also a big hit then, too!

Everything went great! The Jangling Reinharts were one of the biggest highlights of our wedding. They played a wonderful set that was timeless, classic, and fun for all of our guests. The band played nearly 4 hours straight, beginning at dinner and seamlessly transitioning to a rock and roll party. Rick and his crew sounded amazing, and we especially appreciated their willingness to learn and play If I had the World to Give by The Grateful Dead for the fatherdaughter dance (a song that was not originally on their list, but they went ahead and did it for us anyway!). Rick was also timely, organized, and easy to communicate with leading up to our wedding. All of our friends and family commented how wonderful they were, and we thank you all for helping make our day so special. Regarding working with you and The Jangling Reinharts, I cannot say enough positive things. First, working with you & Sam Hill was extremely easy and straightforward. You were always available to answer my questions, always open to making adjustments as needed, and you were always very clear & helpful along the way, including working directly with the venue to ensure everything was in order. It was a huge weight off my shoulders to know that all of the details for the performance were taken care of and all we had to do was show up on the day of.
Next, the band. The first word that comes to mind is: Wow. I've seen the Jangling Reinharts before in different places/gigs, but they really turned it up a notch for our event. Rick and the group were very open to our song requests (even learned a new song for us), they were nothing but professional when discussing the less fun logistical aspects of a performance (like loading & unloading), and my goodness did they bring the house down. To this day, my wife's family still talks about the Jangling Reinharts performance & just how much FUN they were Rick & team are amazing with interacting with the crowd, it really takes the performance to another level when the folks who usually don't dance can't help themselves but make their way to the dance floor because the band is JUST THAT GOOD. I could go on and on with positive things to say, but I'll leave it at this, my wife and I didn't leave the dance floor the entire time the Jangling Reinharts were playing... I almost lost my voice singing along!!
I truly cannot say enough positive things about our experience working with the Jangling Reinharts. Their performance was one of the most memorable parts of our wedding weekend, but also it set the PERFECT tone for our amazing weekend. Great band, great music, and even better people the Jangling Reinharts are the complete package.

The wedding guests loved them. Rick could read the guests and play just the right music to get people on the dance floor. In person, the guys were flexible because our wedding ceremony was actually in the same room that the band would be playing in. So they were very patient in setting up. I appreciate that because I was a little nervous we were not giving them enough time.
They guys were all super friendly. The music was amazing. It was phenomenal variety! They were a true rock band and made the wedding awesome! I think after talking with family and friends, nearly everyone said the music was the best part! It certainly was my favorite part!

We had the best wedding we could ask for and the atmosphere created by the Jangling Reinharts was a big part of it. We had many guests come to us individually during and after the wedding saying how amazing the the band was. We were blown away by Jangling Reinharts at our wedding. It was a muggy, rainy (downpour) reception an everyone was crammed under tents since we were outdoors, but the band kept everyone out on the dance floor and because the rain didn’t faze them, everyone had an amazing time. For two solid hours, the dance floor was filled with smiling, happy, sweaty, and drenched people!
The music was perfect for our crowd. From our deadhead friends enjoying the dinner music to everyone from the flower girls/ring bearers to our 70+ year old family members dancing, it was everything I had hoped for. We left them alone and let them put together their own set list and we are glad we did, it was perfect. As someone that goes out to listen to music often, I was really impressed by their ability to manage the volume. We had to put tables right in front of them during dinner because of the rain, but the music was a perfect volume to allow conversation and when the tables were moved so people could dance, the volume went up, but I didn’t have the normal ringing in the ears the next morning from being up against the speakers. That was huge for me and I really appreciated how well they handled it.
Oh, and the staff at the hotel said that they were used to people complaining about the wedding music, but with this band, they had several people comment on how well they loved it and many sat outside on the porches to listen!!
From the moment Rick and I first corresponded, he was beyond professional and friendly. We did ask them to learn a song for our first dance (Maybe I’m Amazed). They did and it was perfect.

We booked the Jangling Reinharts through Sam Hill Entertainment and are SO glad we did. The process was very easy, both with Sam Hill and the band leading up to the wedding.
At the wedding, the band was perfect. They read the crowd throughout the night, keeping the dance floor full. Their mashups were fun and kept the pace of the night moving. They were very professional and easy to work with, including handling the prerecorded music for their breaks, which was also pitched perfectly. Throughout the night, friends (both music snobs and party people) came up to us to rave about the band. And they almost always found us on the dance floor.
When I recover from weddingmadness, I want to throw another giant party so I can book the Reinharts again!

They were so accommodating of our schedule for the day, and were willing to wait to set up their equipment until after the ceremony during a 1.5 hour cocktail hour very unusual for a wedding day setup. They were also very accommodating of our preferences for the evening, including song lists, break songs, and first dance/parent dances. Our guests could not stop raving about them. They were experts at reading the crowd and determining what songs to play in order to successfully keep the party going all night long. We highly recommend them to anyone and everyone!

They set the tone for the wedding by playing while the guests were coming in (prior to the bridal party). That is one of the things I told them was very important to me and they took it seriously. A few of the comments I have gotten from guests are we have never been to a wedding that people got out on the dance floor that quickly, great variety of music etc. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking for an amazing and accommodating band for their big day.

Well they were beyond our expectations. Superb group, great sound, interactive with the guests, polite, charming, funny and even helped out judging a best dessert event we had. They can and seeming did play just about every song you wanted to hear, and never sounded off, even once.
They really made the party, my feet hurt the next day from dancing. I would give these guys 20 stars out of five because each of them were 5 stars in their own right. I am a fairly harsh critic,I contribute to many online rating sites, and I don't like to give out false compliments, but TJRs were fantastic. I think one of the guests approached them for a wedding booking.
We didn't deserve a band as good as TJRs but we were ecstatic to have them.

Mike and I first saw the Jangling Reinharts play back in 2005 when we were UVA studentsthey were the band at his fraternity's formal event that year. I can't say enough good things about the Jangling Reinhartstheir energy is amazing, they know exactly what to play to keep the crowd dancing, their song list appeals to all ages, and they're simply a pleasure to work with. Our guests were dancing nonstop the entire night (including people who usually don't dance at all!) Since the wedding, we've been told numerous times by friends and family that the Jangling Reinharts were the best wedding band they'd ever seen.
We would recommend them a thousand times over to anyone looking for a band for their next big event!

The Jangling Reinharts were a huge hit with all of the guests and easy to work with. I only had a few moments to thank Rick at the end of the party, but sets of my friends and sets of my mother's friends complemented the band.
When we needed to make a change in some timing, they executed perfectly. My sister told them dinner was starting and that they could break, and played another song or two because they know how long it takes to actually get people seated and eating.
I'd be happy to tell any future clients that The Jangling Reinharts are a great choice. Their song list is great for a wedding, very east to dance to, and they were willing to learn any important songs. In fact, Rick was able to accommodate our first dance song, which wasn't on their list, with only a couple of week's notice because they'd played it before.
I was reluctant to book without hearing them play and seeing them interact with each other and an audience, but you and Katie Merritt had great things to say about Rick and The Jangling Reinharts that I was able to go forward and ended up with a fantastic band.

The Jangling Reinharts were the best band I have ever heard at a wedding, and they far exceeded our expectations! Our guests and family raved about them the entire night they were so good that even our grandmothers got out on the dance floor with us! We seriously had the best time, and a large part of that was because of the band, their personalities, and their music. They were able to read the crowd and know exactly what to play next. They included my cousin who is a singer/songwriter in one of their songs and seemed to work very well with our wedding coordinator and other vendors. Rick was super nice and incredibly easy to work with. He was also very flexible and laid back when we needed to change our timeline a bit due to weather. It was an incredibly hot evening, and they still played their hearts out! The entire band seemed to have as much fun as we were having, which was very important to us!
We seriously cannot say enough good things. Our guests have already been asking for their info, so we will be sure to recommend you all and the JRs anytime people ask!!

The dance floor was full from start to finish, and they even had us up and dancing to an awesome playlist when they took a break. Their rendition of 'Country Roads' brought the evening to a wonderful close with a 50 person singalong. We would HIGHLY recommend the Jangling Reinharts to anyone planning a wedding or large event who wants a packed dance floor all night.

That whole day was unreal..........really was close to perfection. Perfect weather, 75 during day, drove a '66 convertible Vet to the church, reception, etc and then the reception was a total blast. Rick & Co. were truly an 11 on a scale of 10. Of course we got complements for the entire day, food, etc but I imagine I got more wows/awesome/fun comments regarding the JR's than any other. They were really really fabulous. True class, all the way.
They also had fun, and said he would play for me and my friends anytime anywhere. Really made us feel good and I look forward to thanking them in person..

Let me start out by saying that I couldn’t be happier that we selected the Jangling Reinharts for our wedding. But for additional information, I think it might be helpful for other couples to know that they are not the type of band I had in mind when we started this process. We have been to a ton of weddings with bands, and I definitely thought I wanted something traditional. Initially, the Reinharts did not fit the mold of what I had in mind for our wedding day. After reviewing tons of bands, songs, and options on the Sam Hill website, we just kept coming back to the Reinharts. Although I was a little skeptical, I read the reviews, we booked them, and then waited for the months to pass before the wedding.
Now that our day has passed, let me tell you that I AM A BELIEVER. The Jangling Reinharts are the absolute best wedding band out there. They put on a truly amazing show for our wedding reception. I have never seen such a spectacle of people of all groups and ages literally pouring over the edges of the dance floor to jam out to this amazing band. We expected some of our older guests to leave early, but they stayed and wouldn’t stop raving about the band. Not only that, they learned a Bruno Mars song for my husband and played a few other current pop songs which weren’t on their playlist, and the dance floor went crazy. Above and beyond, they were great emcees for the event. They created such a fun, friendly environment, and our reception wouldn’t have been the same without them.
I’ve heard that people won’t dance at a wedding if the bride and groom aren’t out there dancing. Well, as the bride, I had to force myself into the crowd on the dance floor. That’s how fun this band is. So, if you are looking for a band that will keep your dance floor packed and all your guests telling you, “I LOVED THAT BAND!” then the Reinharts are for you. Throw out any notions you might have had about the traditional look or vibe of a wedding band. The Jangling Reinharts are it!!!

As I mentioned on Thursday, the Jangling Reinharts were a huge hit at our wedding reception. Not only did one of Ashley's Dad's friends comment that he wanted to take a seat to the side of the dance floor and listen to the band all night, several of my music aficionado friends came up to me and told me they wanted our wedding soundtrack! I recall reading one review of the band highlighting all their guests from 7 to 70 were dancing and enjoying the music. I echo that comment.
Rick did a great job of emceeing the reception and engaging the crowd inviting one of my friends to play drums for a few songs, passing around a tambourine, and dragging out a bass drum for us to beat. Their Avenger and Rabbit Head masks were also a fun addition. In all, we can't give high enough praise. They played the songs we wanted to hear and made sure the party was rocking.

Nearly a year later, I am sitting on a friend’s couch in Boston (we moved!) reliving some excellent memories from our wedding. I could not have asked for a better night. There have been times that I meet friends of friends for the first time and they say Oh you guys were the ones that got married on the farm in Virginia and had that awesome band . Wedding guests still talk about it as one of the greatest parties they’d been to and I know for a fact that the Jangling Reinharts were responsible for that in a significant way. They were totally professional, only took one short break, and were extraordinarily talented with all types of music especially their own mashups. We were familiar with them from my nieces wedding 2 years ago in Baltimore. We were extremely pleased with their talent and how they handled the crowd. I was especially happy that they were able to accommodate me with the changing of the fatherdaughter song just 3 days ahead of time ! They did great.
We will certainly give them high recommendations when asked.

The Reinharts were absolutely amazing to work with and I definitely plan to go online and give them a glowing review. They played the right selection of songs that fit both our music taste and still appealed to everyone at the wedding. I felt like every time I turned around that night they were playing another favorite song (Mumford and Sons, The Beatles, Talking Heads, Buffett, the list goes on). They also nailed all of our special requests, including obscure Mark Knopfler songs for Martin and an Auld Lang Syne > End of the World as We Know It to kick off 2012. The guys even closed out the night with Race for the Prize reprise wearing masks so much fun! We could not have chosen a better band to party with us for New Years and get our guests dancing all night.

In addition to being awesome musicians, the guys couldn't have been friendlier and more accommodating. They indulged my rocker cousin and let him come up on stage and lead a song...satisfied the crowd's One More Song! chants at the end of the night...played an amazing mix of music that seemed to impress every guest...learned the few songs we requested and hit every artist we'd hoped to hear...happily chatted with my family and me while breaking down the equipment at the end of the night...I could really go on and on.
Clearly the band exceeded our expectations. As for the prewedding coordination, I really thought you guys made everything so easy and stressfree. The only negative thing I have to say is how sad I am that it's all over!! My cousin, who was married in the OBX in 2009 and used your company, had suggested I contact Sam Hill Ent. when I became frustrated with trying to find a decent band in the Philly area. I am so glad I did, as this was easily one of the best parts of our wedding. I will absolutely recommend your company to anyone who will listen.

I can't say enough about how much we loved the Jangling Reinharts! They far exceeded our expectations, which were high to begin with! The set list was a perfect mix of music that our multigenerational guests could appreciate! Their energy was high throughout the entire evening, even when my mom asked for them to stay an extra 1/2 hour! They even surprised us towards the end with masks and wigs! We felt like we were at a rock concert. As a wedding band, the Jangling Reinharts are very unique and a wonderful change from most standard wedding bands that we have heard, which tend to do the same things. Many, many guests told us that the Reinharts made the wedding and that they were the best wedding band they have ever heard! We even had a guest from Connecticut ask for your information so that you could play at their son's wedding (hopefully the wedding is not as far as Connecticut!)

We cannot say enough good things about the Jangling Reinharts! We easily had the most fun wedding reception we've ever been to (I know we're a little biased), but seriously all of our guests just raved about the band and wanted to know more about them!
Song selection was excellent. The band played everything we wanted and more, and it was music that our guests were familiar with mixed in with some stuff that they probably weren't familiar with but every single song was so fun and easy to dance to, that the dance floor was full all night long.
Also they bring a really fun energy to the environment. The bands musical talents mixed in with their fun personalities ensures a good time. Rick did an excellent job announcing the wedding party and working with the Colony Club to help guide guests into the next activity (cake cutting, bouquet and garter tosses, etc.) so that things ran smoothly. Rick was also a pleasure to work with in preparing for the event, very personable and open to ideas.
Towards the end of the evening, the band played some awesome medleys, and everyone was going crazy dancing. It felt like a concert almost, which is just what Nick and I had envisioned. At the end of the night we had a parade down Franklin Street from the Colony Club to the Jefferson hotel. I told Rick before that we wanted some kind of parade with some music and maybe some percussion, but that he could improvise. Well it turned out better than I could have every asked for the band, my husband and I and are guests marched down Franklin Street in a very New Orleans style parade, the guys in the band so enthusiastic and fun. We had such a special day and the ending parade was just a phenomenal way to top off the evening that everyone will remember.
Nick and I must have told over half of our guests the name of the band at their request. Everyone had a blast and the Jangling Reinharts have many new fans. Nick and I would love to own some Jangling Reinharts Tshirts! Thank you so much for everything. The Jangling Reinharts made our wedding so awesome, we cannot say thank you enough!

The Jangling Reinharts band was great! All of our friends and family had great things to say. They liked the wide range of music that they played and thought they sounded great. They also did a great job with the three planned dances first dance, father/daughter, and mother/son. Sounded just like the original. Lastly, they were very nice and easy to work with.
Anyways, we will definitely keep them in mind for future events and have already recommended them for a coworkers wedding.

Not only were the Reinharts every bit the wonderful musicians we had heard, they were also so easy to work with and were professionals in every way.
They put together some great sets based on Kathy and my input and on their own feel for the party and for the songs. They definitely played the right songs at the right times and had a good feel for the whole event.
Their rendition of our first dance song by special request Under the Moonlight by Travis was perfect and Rick told me afterwards that they liked playing it so much that they might even add it to their repertoire. There must have been magic in their music that night because Kathy and I ended our dance routine right on the last beat of the song a first for us throughout all of our practicing!
Our friends and family were all very impressed and even the guests who we would not expect to get out of their seats and dance could not help but do so. They were great. Thanks again to the band, to you and the rest of the team from Sam Hill!

Sorry to only now be getting back to you. Casey and I were in Brazil for a long honeymoon and only got back to the US on Saturday.
The Reinharts were amazing; we could not have been more pleased. We've received numerous compliments on the band from a very wide array of different friends and family members who attended the wedding, each of whom has their own particular taste in music. On any given moment, the dance floor was occupied by younger guests, our more senior family members and friends, and everyone inbetween. I think those two facts, more than anything, show the tremendous range of the Reinharts and their ability to appeal to fans of many different music styles.
Even more important, Rick was extremely easy to work with and ended up playing all of the new songs we requested of the band, including a tremendous, climactic Abbey Road collage as Casey and I made our departure from the ceremony. They were the perfect blend of professionalism and fun. The band members even donned masks for a portion of the show and threw in some fun stage tricks, and all in the vicinity of the music couldn't help but enjoy themselves.
In sum, we can't say enough about them and hope to have the opportunity to thank them ourselves (as well as see them perform again). Thank you for setting us up with them and thereby helping to make our wedding such a fun event.

Rick was extremely helpful and accommodating during the planning process in the month prior to the wedding. We felt very comfortable with logistics, setup, etc. and the band proved to be a very 'low maintenance' vendor.
We really enjoyed the music playlist during dinner (ie: Wilco) and the band did a great job of learning the father/bride song (I Loved Her First by Heartland). Once the meal and toasts were over the band cranked it up a notch and the dance floor was packed the rest of the evening. We enjoyed their sense of humor between songs and it appeared as though the band was having as much fun as the guests.

Sorry for the delayed response we just got back from the honeymoon. Simply put, the Jangling Reinharts were awesome. They surprised us with slower, more diningappropriate music during dinner, shifted to dancing music that bestappealed to the broad range of guests we had (i.e., songs that everyone knew, including oldies), and ended the night with more fastpaced 80's/90's music that got everyone out on the dance floor. Everything they played was really good. They also were very accommodating to our requests. For example, they quickly learned Purple Rain during a break so that my high school baseball coach could sing karaoke (sounds strange, but it was awesome it really got the party going for the latter third of the night). More importantly, at the request of the crowd the band played for what was probably an additional 45 minutes past when the caterer tried to shut down the party. That additional playing time really made the reception for Lauren and I, our younger guests, and the older ones that stayed around to party. All in all, the Jangling Reinharts were great.

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I just wanted to say the the Jangling Reinharts were fantastic at our wedding! They played a good combination of slow and fast songs and lots of music that we like of the altcountry genre. We had several guest comment on how much they loved the band. Thank you for the follow up email. The Jangling Reinharts were fantastic. They arrived on time, were extremely accommodating and put on a fantastic show. They really helped make our wedding day special.
I can't even count the number of people who came up to us during the reception and afterwards wanting to know where we found our band. Needless to say we passed along their and your information.
The selections of music were extremely appropriate. During dinner, they played a nice low key set. That surprised us considering we were expecting recorded music. It was a really nice touch. Once the fun started, their music choices changed and soon everyone was up dancing and having fun. I was worried that some of the party wouldn't enjoy the music or miss out on the fun. That never happened. Everyone could enjoy the music choices. Their final set finished with them handing out musical instruments and asking a few to play along. It definitely finished off the night with a bang.

There was a crowd chock full of musicians, and all of them were impressed with the Reinharts' playing abilities and repertoire. I was so gracious to do a song with them, and when I was used to playing the song in a different key, they transposed keys on the spot (even the guitar solo, which isn't always the easiest thing to do). It is difficult to impress a crowd full of musicians and nonmusicians (especially when the musicians are, as I and my friends are, music snobs), but they did it the whole night!
They were EXCELLENT! The perfect band for our day.

I have a lot of younger cousins and they have all told me they want to book the Reinharts when they get married! It was SO FUN. I admit I was a little nervous because my family and friends all have such an eclectic mix of music they enjoy. All I told Rick was that I wanted people to DANCE and man the Reinharts had EVERYONE dancing. By the end of the night my cousins were on stage with the band, my friend had a tambourine. My brother was helping with the vocals. I am surprised the Reinharts were willing to stay the extra hour with how wild everyone got. But they stayed and continued to be totally professional and excellent musicians and entertainers despite the surrounding madness. They even learned a song for the fatherdaughter dance only a few days before the wedding. I'd be happy to give them my highest recommendation if anyone is looking for some great music and great people.

Jangling Reinharts (Rick and Buster) played at my daughter's wedding
reception on November 10th. I'm sorry I'm so late in writing this note, but
I wanted you to know just how wonderful the entire evening was. Everyone at
our party loved the band. I hired them sight unseen, and they turned out to
be even better than I ever imagined. They played everything that my
daughter requested, and they were entertaining in every way possible.
Both Rick and Buster were professional and personal. I enjoyed meeting them
and I'm very glad I selected them to play at Kathleen's reception.

AMAZING!!!!!!!!

Dear Mike,
I'm glad to give you some feedback about the Jangling Reinharts
because my husband and I really loved having them play at our
wedding. While I trusted Hank Wells, before the wedding I was really
worried that no one would dance or that the band would play too loud,
etc. The tape he gave us sounded okay, but not great. I
essentially decided to trust his judgment and it turned out that the
band was one of the best parts of the evening.
First of all, I thought that the band members were exceptionally nice
and helpful. We decided on our first song at the last minute and
the band learned it for us within 24 hours! Secondly, the music was
fantastic for dancing. Our guests loved the band so much that they
were pushing us out on to the dance floor for our first dance so
that they could begin dancing. Guests of all ages danced, from our
friends to our parents and their friends. The band received more
praise than any other aspect of our wedding reception.
My brother just got married last month and I had the chance to
compare our band to his. While he had a great (more expensive) band,
I thought that the Jangling Reinharts were much more responsive to
the mood and desires of the wedding guests. They seemed to know what
we all wanted to hear and played fast or slow depending on what
people appeared to enjoy or were requesting.

Just a quick note to thank you all so much for the wonderful music you provided for my daughter, Erin's, wedding on Saturday night. The reception was a huge success and this was due in large part to them. The mix of music was perfect and you were so accommodating in accepting the inevitable schedule changes. Numerous people came up to me or spoke to me later to tell me that this was the best band at a wedding that they had ever heard. The two dances were terrific. Offering to play the first dance and the father/daughter dance instead of needing the CD was also really nice. Staying the extra time when people were still dancing and having fun made the evening a great success. They weren't too loud (which often happens) so people were able to converse a bit in the room where they were playing. All in all, it was quite enjoyable and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others.
I would not hesitate to recommend you all, and in fact, there were quite a few people who requested information on your band after hearing you. Thanks for reading the crowd so well, being so flexible, and helping to make the reception a great success.

I think the band also deserves the credit for that.

DUDE, they were so awesome. No lie. And so cool to work with. I can't believe that I got to hear Wilco, Pete Yorn, and Tenacious D as well as the Beatles and James Brown. I mean, no other band could pull off a setlist like that. I hope that they didnt get too annoyed with people asking for requests. I heard some pretty wild requests and they were very polite. I requested 2 songs and they immediately played them as the next song.
By the way, our sitdown dinner ran 45 minutes over. When the Reinharts came out, they just said, We're just going to play straight through with no set breaks. How cool is that? I booked a lot of bands in college, and I've never heard of a band volunteering to skip set breaks! It was awesome.
Also, dude, they kicked ass on our first dance. It was Robert Earl Keen's I'm Comin' Home, and they nailed it. Plus, they put there own personal touches on the song and it made the song even better.
Anyway, to make a long story short, it was a pleasure working with you, Sam Hill, and the Jangling Reinharts. The customer service I received from you and everyone else at Sam Hill was impeccable. The Reinharts were perfect. As soon as I started working with you, I knew that they band was one thing that we would never have to worry about. And not having something to worry about is key when planning a wedding (as you know).
So thanks again to you, Sam Hill, and the band. It was awesome doing business with you. (I always liked working with you guys over East Coast Entertainment!)
