Biography: Swingtown
Mike Fletcher and Swingtown have been performing in the Washington, DC area since 1995. They have appeared at many of DC's most prestigious venues, including the Kennedy Center, the Corcoran Gallery of Art (with James Brown!), the Madison Hotel, the National Building Museum, the Federal Building, the Italian Embassy and have played numerous charitable benefits and private events - including the weddings of several United States Senators. Swingtown has also appeared at the Capital Club's "Sinatra Soiree" for eleven consecutive years, where attendance has grown from 300 in their first year to 1,200 last year.
Mike and Swingtown perform many songs popularized by Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Nat King Cole, Bobby Darin, Antonio Jobim, Dean Martin, Glen Miller and others. The band can also play some motown, rock'n'roll, and can be booked from any configuration from a thirteen piece big band to a thirty-nine piece orchestra.
