Melonbelly specializes in providing the highest quality live music for private parties, weddings (receptions, rehearsal dinners and ceremonies), and corporate events. Shows feature intricate guitar, vocal harmony, harmonica and percussion to a huge variety of songs from Motown, oldies, beach, country, bluegrass, blues, classic rock to modern day hits: Van Morrison, Eric Clapton, The Temptations, The Beatles, Otis Redding, The Allman Brothers, James Taylor, Jimmy Buffett, Dave Matthews, U2, Norah Jones, Green Day, Ben Harper, Jack Johnson and many others. PLUS: DJ and MC SERVICES ARE INCLUDED AT NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE.
Melonbelly performs for events of all sizes: from intimate dinners to large outdoor concerts. Many clients appreciate that Melonbelly does not take up very much space and is easily able to control their volume level so that guests can still have a conversation without trying to yell above the music. This makes Melonbelly a good fit for smaller venues where a large band would not be appropriate.
Melonbelly is: Burke Long & Clifton Costelloe
Burke Long specializes in music of the American South with influences such as Buddy Holly, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton and Tom Petty. He has opened shows for the Jayhawks, Hootie and the Blowfish, and Patty Loveless. He was selected twice to perform at the BMI Crossroads Showcase in Memphis, TN, once fronting his own band and the second timeas a solo acoustic artist.
Clifton Castelloe also writes, records and performs his own music. Clifton's songwriting exhibits his pop sensibility and southern roots with influences of James Taylor, Elvis Costello, Paul McCartney, Steve Earle, and Jeff Tweedy. His songs have appeared in feature films and in TV shows on A&E, NBC, CBS, The Biography Channel, E! Network, HGTV, and MTV. One of his rock singles, "Unbreakable", won Clifton an Honorable Mention in the Billboard World Song Contest.
