Hipshack is best described as a Rock-Funk-Soul-Jazz-Jam Party Band. The brainchild of Charlotte, North Carolina's bass virtuoso Scott McCloud, Hipshack is adept at providing everything from a funky yet delicate jazz set for cocktails and dinner right through a vast repertoire of party classics and modern hits that keep the dance floor packed. With influences ranging from James Brown to Miles Davis and Van Morrison to the Stone Temple Pilots, these jazz-trained, pop-fueled musicians are able to tightly incorporate a large variety of styles into the unique groove that is Hipshack.
Hipshack's expertise at providing the perfect soundtrack for a wedding reception has been acknowledged by the professionals, as Hipshack has won the honor of being acknowledged in Modern Bride Magazine as one of 150 Best Bands for Hire in the USA.
Outside of performing for countless satisfied married couples, planners and private events, hundreds of clubs, colleges, festivals, corporate events and venues in the USA, Hipshack’s other successes include:
