Biography: Hard Day's Night
Hard Day’s Night continues its 12 year tradition of entertaining Beatles fans across the county. The group is one of the few touring Beatle tribute bands who, through its musical talent and dedication to authenticity, was invited to and performed at the world famous Cavern Club in Liverpool, England in 1999 for International Beatles Week. This included a special appearance with Pete Best, the Beatles first drummer at the Casbah.
Hailing from the rock’n’roll city of Cleveland, Ohio, Hard Day’s Night is rated among the top national Beatle groups performing today, and is dedicated to the Beatles’ touring performance standard of playing without recordings or click-tracks. The band performs songs from the 1962-66 era exactly as the Beatles did: four musicians on stage, in character as John, Paul (left handed), George, and Ringo, wearing stitch-for-stitch replications of the suits made famous by the Beatles, with authentic Vox, Hofner, Gretsch, Rickenbacker, and Ludwig instruments, playing the world-famous songs note-for-note.
Hard Day’s Night has performed for thousands of Beatle fans in England and the United States including such national clients as Continental Airlines, the Hard Rock Café, Hilton Hotels, Volkswagen of America, and the American Heart Association. Television clips featuring the band have been aired on FOX8, PBS, and CBS, and the group appears with such noted British Invasion performers as Billy J. Kramer, Herman’s Hermits, as well as Tim Piper, acclaimed John Lennon impersonator.
In their home state across northeast Ohio, the group has performed at a multitude of local community venues, including the Packard Music Hall, E.J. Thomas Hall, the Fraze Pavilion, the historic Hoover Auditorium in Lakeside, the Pro Football Hall of Fame Festival, the Akron Civic Theater and Abbey Road on the River, the largest Beatle festival outside of Liverpool, England.
Hard Day’s Night continues to carry on the excitement of Beatlemania throughout the country because audiences will always demand to see the number one rock group of all time – John, Paul, George and Ringo, perform live on stage again – and Hard Day’s Night recreates that exciting vision by performing the magical music of the Fab Four, in one of the most authentic, all-live stage tributes to the Beatles seen today.
