Grit City Grass is a group with traditional roots that utilizes respectful innovation of the form. With a dynamic blend of high power vocals, instrumental prowess and songwriting creativity, this group is sure to be a success.

"One of the best things about being in this band is that we are all good friends. We have a good rapport together and I know that it shows in the way we play and sing. I have always heard that 'brother harmony' is so good because brothers are naturally tuned in together. A few examples come to mind: The Osborne Brothers, Jim and Jesse, The Louvin Brothers, The Stanley Brothers. I can tell you from experience that strong friendship can have the same effect. We in GCG may not be brothers in blood but in music and heart we are. That, in short, is why I love making music with GCG."
Grit City recently cleaned up at the 2008 Virginia State Bluegrass championships - winning both the group award as well as bringing home individual honors in the guitar, dobro and vocals categories.
