The Fitzmaurice Band is an up and coming band based out of Bowie, MD. Playing the entire spectrum of bluegrass - from the traditional high and lonesome sounds of Bill Monroe to comtemporary acoustic music - this young quintet has been wowing audiences throughout Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia with their tight, passionate vocals, virtuosic instrumental work and high levels of energy on stage.
With an emphasis on original music that the band classifies as "alternative bluegrass", their repertoire also covers not only the traditional sounds but also their own take on classic rock and country. The band features twin sisters Maria and Sarah Fitzmaurice, Brandon Snellings, Mike Simms, and Aaron Malone.
