Biography: Bloco Gumbo
Bloco Gumbo is an energetic and irreverent drum, brass & dance troupe that plays Carnaval music of the Americas. Their highly danceable and fun repertoire includes Afro-Cuban street carnival music as well as funk, New Orleans second line and Brazilian beats.
Previous Performances: Long Island University, NYRican Poets Café, NYC Halloween Parade, Shrine, Bocarou Lounge, Sabor Latino, Galapagos, Brooklyn College TV, Latitude Zero, Veggie Pride Parade.
They offer three basic options:
1) Street Carnival Brass Band: Drums and Horns (Tuba, trumpet, etc.)
2) Drummers w/ Costumed Carnival Samba Dancers (Brazilian Carnival Show)
3)Drummers Only (can be one or more drummers w/ DJ)
They bring carnival to you!!!
