One of Atlanta's finest jazz bands, Wild Rice performs for a variety of public and private functions including festivals, corporate events, wedding receptions, and private parties. The band was formed in 1993 and each of the musicians has over 20 years of experience in jazz performance.
The group is a 6 piece instrumental jazz band that includes trumpet, saxophone, piano/keyboard, bass, drums, and Latin percussion. Depending on the needs of clients, a vocalist can be added or smaller ensembles (quintet, quartet, or trio) are available on request.
Repertoire includes a variety of music, from high-energy Latin grooves to traditional jazz standards (usually with a Latin twist). The band's versatility makes them appropriate for any kind of event, from a relaxed dinner function to a lively party that includes dancing.
