The URBAN EXCHANGE, one of New York's hottest live bands an exciting, versatile, party band available for private affairs, corporate functions and special events. They can shift in an instant delivering what every event needs, from sophisticated wedding reception to uplifting good time with dance music for college and corporate events. URBAN EXCHANGE is the right choice for any occasion “fun", exciting, and interactive are words that describes URBAN EXCHANGE. Even more importantly, is that your guest will enjoy lots of interaction with audience participation at the dance parties and they will make any wedding a memorable event. The combined band members have travel the world over URBAN EXCHANGE have come together to bring you some of the finest music you will hear on the East Coast: the sound of Reggae, Jazz, R&B, Hip Hop, Rock, and Oldies but Goodies.
Two childhood friends have come together to create one of the best bands around. Li'nard Jackson is a bass guitarist/songwriter/singer who has recorded on projects with Patti La Belle, O'Jays and The Jones Girls. He has also performed with Codaryl Moffett Jazz Ensemble Roy Ayers, Defunkt and Mr Thing and the Professional Human Beings.
Rowland Tolliver (the R in L&R) is a drummer and sound engineer performing with such local groups as the Waller Family, Grandeurs, Big George, The Baker Brothers, Rize Band and several gospel groups in the area.
Singer Tony Marshburn started out singing at the age of sixteen with the original Lisa Lisa Cult Jam, Jade, also appeared on Soul Train.
Keyboardist Brocket Parson has performed with Tavaris, Glen Lewis, Donell Jones, appeared on David Letterman show, Conan O'Brien and Soul Train.
Guitarist Mark Bowers performed with the Manhattans, Wilson Pickett, Kool and The Gang, J. T. Taylor, Outkast and Common.
Singer/recording artist and percussionist Antwon Robinson has performed with various artists as lead singer and background singer.
