Biography: The Trey Wright Jazztet
Looking for a fun, classy alternative to the typical wedding variety band? The Trey Wright Jazztet is an award winning jazz quartet based in the Atlanta area, yet is capable of much more. After performing a set of jazz standards including compositions by Duke Ellington, Cole Porter, Gershwin, and Jobim, a typical Jazztet wedding will build into a night of hip-shaking dance music including swing, reggae, latin jazz, jump blues and New Orleans grooves. Since 1994, The Trey Wright Jazztet has developed a strong regional following performing at festivals and clubs as well as providing spirited jazz music for weddings and private functions throughout the Southeast and beyond.
The group is capable of a night of beautiful lyrical jazz or a night of high energy dancing to mambo and jump blues; every event has unique needs. If you are looking for the “Chicken Dance”, the “Macarena”, or “YMCA”, then the Trey Wright Jazztet is not your band.
