Trumpeter and bandleader Todd Horton has been entertaining parties and events with his own groups for nearly twenty years. He has toured the world with artists of many genres and appeared on countless albums. After thirteen years in New York City he moved to Philadelphia and is considered one of the best trumpet players around. He continues to play with various groups in New York and elsewhere.
ROMP is an all-star lineup of some of Philly's finest, most experienced musicians. Performing funky and soulful Jazz with electrifying grooves, they are a great alternative to the traditional wedding band. Their combined experience speaks for itself as is evident by the list of world renowned artists each member has performed and recorded with, including Ray Charles, Aaron Neville, Aretha Franklin, Patty Labelle, Lou Rawls, Buddy Miles, The Spin Doctors, Maceo Parker, Ani Difranco, Horace Silver and Pat Martino. In addition to their funkier side, they play classic, traditional Jazz and Swing with a limitless repertoire.
Some of the venues Horton’s groups have entertained in include The Academy of Fine Arts, Ritz Carlton, Westin Hotel, The Loews, Top Of The Tower, College of Physicians, Valley Green Inn, Brantwyn Mansion, Colonial Dames, Le Mas Perrier, Seaport Museum, Franklin Institute, National Constitution Center, Society Hill Dance Academy, Powel House and The Moshulu (Philadelphia area), Pastis, Michael's, Ralph Lauren, Townhouse, Le Senge Vert, Jubilee, Bubble Lounge and Casimir (New York City).
