His musical contributions and humor are a welcome addition. David has been playing for 30+ years. Perry Woodie is another long time musician from western North Carolina. He spent 4 years playing with Darin and Brooke Aldridge. He has also played with The Linville Ridge Band, Damascus Road, and The Narrow Way Quartet, Midnight Flyer, among others. Perry sings an occasional lead and contributes harmonies. He is continually looking for material and helps a great deal with the arrangements of songs. Banjo is Perry's main instrument and, on occasion, plays a mean dobro as well. He says it bites him all the time. He has been playing 30+ years. Mike Ramsey has spent many years heading up bands in western North Carolina. Most recently The Linville Ridge Band. Prior to that Mike played bass for Damascus Road, and The Narrow Way Quartet. And in an early life, played banjo and mandolin with the band Irish Creek. He has also reared up some great players. His son Aaron is currently playing with Mountain Heart. His daughter Katie is also a great bass player and singer. Mike has been playing for 30+ years. Mike is the only member qualified to play a piece of furniture.
We are extremely proud of the musical heritage associated with the part of the country we call home. Bluegrass was formed by individuals from this region and we owe a great debt for the foundations they have laid.
