A crescent moon reclines in languor as a warm Southern wind shimmies through the magnolias. On the outdoor gazebo below, the best-dressed dance band in America belts into the opening strains of 'Hit The Road Jack'. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to THE GOLDDIGGERS.
THE GOLDDIGGERS are a dance band in the classic country club tradition. The band’s repertoire embraces an impressive catalog, marrying the best of the neo-swing revival, with the finest traditional Southern strains.
From Prima to Patsy. From Elvis to Ella. THE GOLDDIGGERS look and sound spin a magical web suggesting the elegance of the past, while maintaining an energy & humor, which make them accessible to the youngest members of any audience.
Formed by Jen Jones/AKA Goldie (The Camaros), and Dave Willie (Nine Parts...) The band features amazing musicians, including Lorne Rail (Lucinda Williams), Jimmy Bolland (Brenda Lee), and Carco Clave (Asleep at the Wheel). You're guaranteed up-right Bass, guitar, saxophone, and sometimes even steel guitar, the size and instrumentation, of the band, customized to fit your budget.
This is an act that can truly entertain all ages, and knows how to shift gears to keep the room dancing all night. It's the chemistry between the two singers that really separates THE GOLDDIGGERS from the pack. Dave and Goldie harmonize, trade verses and sing a huge variety of songs from the 40's 50's and 60's.
