Biography: The Fabulous Hubcaps

>>VIEW SONGLIST

The HUBCAPS consist of seven lead vocalists who are proficient on a number of instruments. Depending on the song, they'll use a horn section, or three rockabilly guitars, or multi-keyboards, or six part do-wop harmony. This instrumentation, blended with their rich vocals produces tremendous sound qualities and reinforces their reputation for capturing the authentic "feel" and sound reproduction of the original recordings. Some of the artists that the Hubcaps honor are: Elvis, Buddy Holly, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, The Coasters, The Platters, The Everly Brothers, Patsy Cline and Willie Nelson, Connie Francis, The Beach Boys, The Shirelles, The Righteous Brothers, Sam & Dave, Sonny & Cher, James Brown, Otis Redding, Tina Turner, John Fogerty, Janis Joplin, and many other stars.

The HUBCAPS are presented and supported by their own self-contained Sound, Production and Lighting, together with a team of professionals.

The "HUBCAPS" have been together for 27 years. They have traveled all over the U.S. and have performed an average of 200 shows a year since 1974. Stops have included: San Francisco, Reno, Phoenix, New Orleans, Cleveland, Chicago, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Boston, New York City, Atlanta and Daytona; various County and State Fairs and Music Festivals around the Country. Travel out of the Continental U.S. has included Canada and Puerto Rico. They perform regularly in and around their home base, Washington, D.C. and throughout the Mid-Atlantic states.

The HUBCAPS are constantly retained by major corporations and requested by national companies, including ICI of the Americas, Dupont, Pepsi-Cola, Sunoco, Ericsson, Holiday Inns, and Amway. Political functions include performances for Senators Baucus, Mikulski and Chafin, with Congressman Castle and Governor Carper all hosting private parties attended by numerous ambassadors and international guests.

Name recognition and their spotless reputation for quality entertainment annually requires the Hubcaps to headline major fund raisers and V.I.P. private affairs. Their resume list of special events includes The Kentucky Derby, performing the National Anthem at Camden Yards for the Baltimore Orioles, not to mention the thrill of entertaining the President of the United States and Mrs. Clinton on the South Lawn of the White House.

The HUBCAPS have performed with numerous national acts: The Association, Blood, Sweat and Tears, The Righteous Brothers, The Drifters, The Tokens, Jay and the Americans, Gary Puckett, Leslie Gore, Davey Jones and Gladys Knight just to name a few.
