Biography: Essence Band

The Essence Band & Show originated in Richmond, VA in 1990 as a three-piece ensemble, but has evolved into a seven piece show band. We have traveled from New York to Miami playing our blend of rhythm and blues, top forty and oldies music.
The members of the band have played and toured with several national and local acts. Taking a little bit from each act, we have managed to create what we call the "essence" of music. We shy away from no challenge, and have even performed before country audiences. The Essence Band specializes in wedding receptions, sorority, fraternity and Masonic balls, community functions, private parties and family reunions.
We pride ourselves on being able to play music from the Fifties to today, and our shows are full of energy, laughter and fun. Check us out!! We promise to give the people what they want!!
